QUALIFYING VOLUME (QV)

Effective from 12 April 2023

Qualifying Volume is a point value assigned to each commissionable product. QV is not tied to compensation, and is only used to determine active status and qualifying enrolments. QV is independent of BV and will not be reduced by discounts, while BV may be adjusted if a product is part of a discount promotion.

Here’s a quick explanation:

  • QV is a point value assigned to each commissionable product
  • QV is independent of BV and will not be reduced by discounts, while BV may be reduced if a product is part of a discount promotion
  • QV is not tied to compensation and will only be used to determine monthly active status and qualifying enrolments

An easy way to remember this is: “BV pays, QV maintains.”

Let’s take a look at how it works

Example 1

Taylor enrols a new Member called Julie. Julie places an order of €150 with 100 BV/QV. Since a 20% PIB will be paid to Taylor, Taylor will see a 20% reduction in BV, but Julie’s QV remains at 100.

  • With 100 QV, Julie placed a qualifying order.
  • Julie’s order counts as a qualifying enrolment for Taylor.
  • Taylor will receive 80 BV towards cycles.
  • Taylor’s qualifying enrolment counts towards Leadership in Action and Rank Advancements.

Example 2

Jessica places an order of €150 (pre-tax) with 102 BV/QV during a 10% off promotion. The promotion will reduce her purchase price before taxes and BV by 10% to €135 (pre-tax) and 92 BV, while QV remains at 102.

  • With 102 QV, Jessica placed a qualifying order.
  • Jessica’s upline will receive 92 BV towards cycles.

FAQs

Qualifying Volume (QV) is a point value assigned to each commissionable product (including packs). It is used to determine an Associate’s active status.

BV is what flows up the placement tree for compensation purposes. QV does not flow up the placement tree, and instead is used only to determine an Associate’s active status. BV and QV are typically the same on an order; however, if a discount or 20% PIB is applied to the order, BV may decrease, whereas QV typically will not.

Example: Sara enrols a new Member, Jessica, who places an order of €150 (pre-tax) with 100 BV/QV during a 10% off promotion. The promotion will reduce her purchase price before taxes and BV by 10% to €135 (pre-tax) and 90 BV, while QV remains at 100.

  • With 100 QV, Jessica placed a qualifying order.
  • Jessica’s order counts as a qualifying enrolment for Sara.
  • Sara’s qualifying enrolment counts towards LIA, Rank Advancements, Team Builders Club, etc.
  • Sara and her upline receive 90 BV towards cycles.

No,  QV will never convert. QV and BV are independent of one another. QV is used to determine active status and qualifying enrollments, while BV is used to determine pay.

Yes, Paid-as ranks will now be based on  QV.

You will see QV anywhere PV used to appearThis includes many sections in the Associate Back Office, as well as reports and promotion pages.

Yes. QV will replace PV.

No, PV no longer exists. As a result, we are no longer tracking it.

This update will take place starting 12 April 2023.

Yes. QV will act the same as PV didAny additional QV that you order above 100 QV every 30 days will be applied to your Minor Sales Team.

Any promotion that requires a Member to be personally active, or enrol an active Member, will now use QV to determine the active status.

No. BV will typically only be discounted if a discount or 20% PIB was applied to that specific order. If neither of those was applied to the order, BV should remain unaffected.

For Example:

Taylor enrols a new Member, Julie, who places an initial order of €150 (pre tax) with 100 BV/QV, which equates to:

  • PIB Paid = €30 (20% of €150)
  • QV = 100
  • BV = 80 (20% discount)

Julie places the same order again the following month (€150 (pre tax) with 100 BV/QV), because this is a second order, Taylor will not receive a PIB for this order so the QV and BV will be the same:

  • PIB Paid = None
  • QV = 100
  • BV = 100

Beginning 12 April 2023, all markets will be using QV.
